I am very excited to be participating in the Ballarat International Foto Bienalle in 2023.

Studio G.A.S. on Creswick Rd is hosting my exhibition from 26 August.

About GeoSilks Designs

GeoSilks Designs has carefully selected unusual and unique microscopic images of rocks and minerals, which were created many millions of years ago.

The images illustrate both the geometry and order of crystal structure, and the chaos and variability that characterise the natural processes of rock formation. Each image has been transformed into an exciting and exclusive design on premier quality fabrics.

My work combines my interests of textiles and photography together with my geological knowledge. I use digital enhancement processes to create striking textile patterns from my photographic images. The shapes, colours and textures of the rocks forming the earth’s surface, and the processes deep beneath the surface form not just beautiful landscapes but beautiful forms and shapes below the surface, some of which are invisible to the naked eye. These have been used to create exciting images for textile design.
